In the meantime I've downloaded AVG which most people on PCHF tend to like, but having paid for Norton, I'm inclined to stick with it. However it keeps kicing up a fuss of course because it's defintions aren't up to date.
Any advice? I'm not having much luck at the moment...! (see my other posts!)
Here you go: Symantec Security Response - Virus Definitions Download Page
Was beginning to feel a bit vulnerable without the definitions. I feel slightly cheesed off with Norton for making it just that little bit difficult for the average user, in my opinion of course. So far I've been impressed with the free trial of AVG, (although I have read running 2 anti-virus programs can slow a PC down), and will consider switching when my subscription expires.
AVG might be kicking up a fuss pagemaster because there is another Anti Virus program running.
It is definately not advisable to have more than one AV program running.
I would, in my own personal opinion, disable Norton and run AVG.
It is also my personal opinion that Norton is rubbish.
