Syn Port Scan

The good news is my firewall continues to block the scans
but it is really becoming annoying. I can ping the
individual(s) who are doing this but is there anything
else I can do?

Chris Palmer04-01-04, 07:17 PMsomethingIn a smiple explaination - As long as you've closed to the network any port that has a service running on it, the SYN scan will not hurt any thing, unless your being flooded with them.
If your not hosting web services (HTTP, SMTP, FTP, etc.), then probably those SYN scans are from script kiddies/worm/virus looking for their next victim.
