Need help please. Urgent.. :(
paranoia02 7.12.2007 18:08 I scanned my PC 2 days ago, so after the scanning was complete i closed KAV via taskmanager then played some games and shutdown my pc afterwards. The following day i opened my pc this error appeared :

so i pressed the 'send' button and when i started closing KAV this message appeared :

Then i waited for 10 to 20mins and still it doesnt finished loading and my PC hanged. I restarted my pc, and when it comes to the desktop suddenly my internet connection went off, and KAV is auto-updating and i rightclick its icon on the taskbar and pressed 'exit' but still KAV is still running and wants to update itself without an internet connection. I called my ISP and told them that i dont have a connection but the modem is working fine which is weird. They tried to fix the problem and they called me back and told me that my modem's status at their office is working fine. So i restarted my PC again, i noticed that my PC loads so f***ing slow and i have to wait 3mins for it to load to the desktop. And the first thing that loads at the taskbar is KAV and its auto-updating again without an internet connection. So i decided to uninstall KAV because i have a feeling that it causes the problems because of the error above.
So i uninstalled KAV using add/remove programs when it was halfway through the removal process my PC hanged again, so i restarted my pc. Then it lags like hell again when waiting it to boot to the desktop when it was finished loading i tried to uninstall again using add/remove, then this message appear "the uninstall procedure ended prematurely and some files may be broken" "click yes to continue uninstalling or cancel" so i pressed continue to continue removing KAV. Then after uninstalling it i rebooted my PC. After a long loading time to the desktop again, i was surprised that KAV is still running and still auto-updating at the taskbar!! And i was like - WTF!!?? Then i checked add/remove software and KAV was not listed there, i click my computer/program files and saw the KAV folder is still there, so i opened it and files are still intact so i tried manually deleting it, but when i press shift + delete it says that "*file blah, blah, blah could not be deleted".
I restarted my pc again hoping that the problem was already been fix, but sadly its not, but now my internet connection is running again so im thankful, but here comes the sad part, after all those errors it caused some side effects to other programs like :
1. Windows Media Player 11 - when im playing some mp3 files, WMP will not show up though i can see it running at the task manager and i have to end task it.
2. Yahoo Messenger - all of a sudden when im chatting with my contacts i cant see their replies or my message that i sent to them either, though i can see the words that im typing but when i hit 'enter' to send it to them, it doesnt show on the screen.
3. Internet Explorer 7 - all sites which uses java, applets or some other active-x doesnt work even though at the internet options it says that all scripts are enabled.
4. System Restore - now this really pissed me off and was a big WTF moment for me, its just like windows media player, i double clicked it but it doesnt show up in the screen.
Thats basically the errors ive found after those series of errors KAV showed me. I dont know if there are still errors because i havent tested all the other programs.
Please help me, or send me a fix to remove all the junk files of KAV including its registry files, i will gladly appreciate your help. Reply to this thread pleaseeeeee.. highrisk 7.12.2007 18:10 Download this, and run it within Safe Mode:

If it isn't I would suggest installing the same version on top of the existing one and then attempting to uninstall it again. paranoia02 8.12.2007 05:00 I can access add/remove programs with no problems, but KAV 8.0 beta is not present on the list of programs.
I tried highrisk's fix i ran the avp_remove.cmd but it didnt do any good to fix the problems i listed above. Please help me..

1. regsvr32 jscript.dll , and then click Enter.
2. regsvr32 vbscript.dll, and then click ENTER
now i can run my WMP again and system restore. If anyone experience this bug or error when uninstalling KAV 8beta, just try this fix. Thanks. Whizard 8.12.2007 05:31 Glad it works for you, but for Alpha its recomended that you make full backup of your system
MAPKOBKA^^ 8.12.2007 14:36 Install the same version straight on top of it, and then uninstall normally. I had to do this once to uninstall a beta.
